A Métis Man
The first of a two part release, A Métis Man, is the result of a years long recording project that involved 30 musicians, 6 different recording studios, in 5 different countries, over a 3 year period. A Métis Man & Another Métis Man, the 2nd release, are my first self-produced albums. I had a vision for this project early on and understood that I would need to be in charge in the studio to bring the vision to life. It was a daunting experience at first, but in the end, was completely and utterly rewarding in every conceivable way. I bare my soul in these recordings.

The Paris Sessions
Sometimes, we go into the studio and some songs just never get completed; we call them demos. This small collection is a smattering of these demo's, scraped up off of the cutting room floor in Paris. Rougher, rawer and perhaps the most honest, these tracks were recorded with a very dear friend of mine, Raphael Ducasse. One night, after a long day of recording, I took Raphael out to dinner to Le Welpler, for Champagne, Chateaubriand, and a mountain of Oysters, as a thank you for his involvement in the project....the next morning he was on deaths door from a bad oyster and had to be taken into emergency at the hospital. Sometimes life gets in the way of the recording process; but as we say in the business, the show must go on. Raphael made a full recovery. Track 5, The Dog, was an ode to a dear old friend of mine, Harpdog Brown. He has recently passed and will be greatly missed.
R.I.P. Harpdog.

The Calgary Sessions
The Calgary Sessions, was a collaboration with Canadian musician & producer, Russell Broom. Russell & I recorded this EP in Calgary, Alberta, @ The Broom Closet, Russell's home studio, and @ Audities Studio. The tracks ring with the beautiful guitar tone that is only Mr. Broom. I squeezed this recording in during extensive playing and touring in Europe and the Caribbean and never really had the chance to release it properly. I hope you enjoy it.

The Nashville Sessions
The Nashville Sessions were recorded between Houston & Nashville with Music Producer Joe Hardy, of ZZ Top fame & the legendary Ardent Studios. Joe put together an exceptional team of Nashville session musician for the project, all old pals of his. This album marked a dream come true for me; recording in Nashville. It was a daunting experience to be sure, but one never to be forgotten. R.I.P. Joe. A note: upon completion of tracking in Nashville, we flew back to a Houston, which at the time, had a hurricane bearing down upon it. Consequently, my manager & I chose to fly back to Canada immediately and we were not able to finish my final vocal takes at the Foam Box, ZZ Tops recording studio, which Joe had booked for us. Disappointedly, we ended up having to use the guide tracks that were recorded in post-production. Such is life; it keeps getting sucher & sucher & sucher.

The Camrose Sessions
My debut album, The Camrose Sessions, was recorded at what was then Heartland Recording Studio and was Produced by my friend Bruce Rawlings. Recorded in-between cigarette, this album came together over the period of 4 months and was made in the most organic and honest of ways. Folksy with loads of instrumentation, these songs come from the heart of a young man, just starting out, caught up in a dream.
